What clients are saying...

When I bought a new apartment and wanted to do some small renovations, I contacted Debby Schor Elyasy.

The original kitchen was in an awkward location, lacked sufficient counter and storage space, and only had room for a single sink and oven.

I explained to Debby my kitchen requirements.

She came to my house and looked at my current kitchen space.

Debby presented me with two plans for the new kitchen incorporating all of my requirements.

She was instrumental in helping me find an excellent kablan who made the whole process quite painless.

She facilitated the conversation with the kablan making sure I knew exactly what I needed to ask for.

Debby accompanied me to choose granite for the countertop.

I appreciated her expert eye when choosing the material.

The end result is a kitchen that is a pleasure to look at as well as to work in. It uses the existing space in a very efficient way.

The whole process went quite smoothly thanks to Debby’s professionalism.

"We met Debby when we were buying our apartment.

It was an old, shabby and rather a small apartment that we wanted to renovate and make bigger.

We were blown away by Debby’s reliability and professionalism, never giving in to compromises, precise in her work and her attention to the tiniest details. We were always happy to listen and to put her advice into practice.

The whole process consisted of a pleasant atmosphere and the certainty that we were in good hands.

The result greatly reflects the quality of the work: we’re currently living in a beautiful and comfortable apartment,

where every corner is optimally used, tastefully and practically.”

"Dearest Deborah,

I am very happy to have chosen to work with you because, in addition to being absolutely professional, you are extremely precise, punctual and responsible.

I highly appreciated the fact that even though you don’t always agree with the client, you listen and try to find out his desires. The company you work with seems competent and helpful, further to being remarkably friendly.

Thank you for everything!”

We had been talking about renovating our kitchen for the longest time.

I reached out to Debby because I had seen her videos and comments on Facebook

and I felt good about the fact that she spoke and understood English and the “oleh” mentality and she seemed very organized.

I loved Debby's plan.

It really included everything I wanted and it ended up being executed with very few changes

Debby was very confident about what could and couldn’t be done,

and was able to explain to me anything the contractor or carpenter was trying to tell me that I couldn’t conceptualize on my own.

We went shopping together and even if doing extra legwork myself

might have saved me a little money,

I was happy for Debby to take me to places

where I knew I would get quality materials

and that she could intercede for me easily if there were any problems.

All the people directly involved in the renovation were very professional.

All of Debby’s people always came on the days they said they would, were generally on time, and were always able to figure out solutions for those things that unexpectedly come up, which always happens.

And the result is terrific.

"The amount of energy that you put into your work goes way beyond a simple architectural planning service. The willingness to learn new things (like the production of wine!) and caring about the fact that the project meets all of the client’s standards, make the client feel like everything is under control.”

"Dear Debby,

it was fun seeing my living room in a photograph that was published in a magazine!

The element that mostly has an effect on the light in the room is none other than…the green wall!

We are very pleased, and we receive endless compliments on the design of the drop ceiling as well as the color…

Thank you!”

"Dear Deborah,

At first, I turned to you because I had heard about your professionalism and your skills and because I could express myself in Italian.

My requests were always respected in the best manner.

Professionally speaking, and friendship aside, you are the best architect I have ever met!”

I am Debby’s client, Mindy.
Several years ago, we bought an apartment in Yerushalayim, on paper.

This turned out to be a stressful experience for several reasons, not the least of which was the language barrier, as well as the fact that we still lived abroad and the construction was taking a lot longer than we expected.
Although this was not our first home building experience, this was a whole new experience. For our previous purchases and re-nos, we were in “our own backyards”.

We spoke the language, we knew where to shop, which contractors, electricians, plumbers, etc. to use, where to find a kitchen to build, where to find counters, sinks, tiles, which appliances to buy and where, and where to buy furniture.

Here the building wasn’t completed, but we needed to get the kitchen started, choose the tiles, purchase the appliances and the furniture. Where to start?
A friend recommended Debby, an Olah from Europe.

When we met, we felt that she understood our American mindset, and felt this relationship would probably work out.

Since Debby is fluent in Hebrew and English, she was able to communicate with us, the contractors, and shopkeepers.
Debby introduced us to contractors, kitchen carpenters, air conditioning and home security specialists, lighting stores, furniture stores, etc.

She shopped with us for furniture, appliances, etc.
I feel certain that Debby will continue to be there for us as we continue on this new venture.
Good Luck with your adventure!

Mindy Berkowitz (NY - Jerusalem)

We made aliyah with 4 kids and my grandmother.

We bought an apartment that it would need to be completely demolished and rebuilt from scratch.

It would take a lot of creativity and skill to design and renovate it to our standards, while still maintaining our budget.

Our friend recommended Debby because she is creative and has the skill to be able to maximize space and functionality,

which is critical when dealing with Israeli apartments

which are generally smaller than apartments/homes in the States.

Debby is not just a skilled architect, she is an Italian designer.

The best part about working with Debby was that she was very detail-oriented, had a great eye for design, and that she took the time to take into account every small detail of our needs to make sure that we were happy with our renovations.

I would definitely recommend working with Debby for people that are looking for creative, stylish and functional designs.

In the end, we received a product that suited our needs,

which is beautifully designed,

and that is significantly cheaper than any of the alternatives that we saw on the market before.

We are very happy with the end product.

I turned to Deborah Schor because I had purchased an apartment that needed to be completely renovated.

Particularly, since I don't reside in Israel, I needed someone reliable and present to handle the project.

Indeed, Deborah took care of all the necessary work for the design and execution of the assignment.

Through Deborah, I had the opportunity to benefit from a range of experienced and selected suppliers and craftsmen.

This allowed me to save time and receive high-quality services and products, something I could not have achieved on my own.

For instance, at the beginning of the project, I came to Israel for a week, and within four days, we purchased everything needed: parquet flooring, tiles, fixtures, faucets, lights, appliances, doors, various furniture, and ordered the kitchen from the carpenter without any loss of time.

I returned to Rome satisfied. Where my presence was required, I was there. Deborah handled everything else, such as deliveries, payments, and more.

The final result was decidedly positive, and I am very satisfied with my new home.
